Last weekend I finally went on my first trip in Korea, DMZ (aka Demilitarised Zone). For those of you that do not know, the DMZ is what divides North and South Korea and is about one and half hours away from Seoul....Plus as of December 1st 2008, the borders have once again been closed so this is currently the closest you can get to visiting North Korea...Unless you are someone really important of course!!
OK so it's not quite North Korea so is it all worth it? Definitley!! The whole trip cost only 39,000 won which also included transportation and lunch so was really good value for money.
After having to get up at a ridiculously early hour in order to be on time for the coach leaving at our 9.30am pick-up, I still managed to have time to find somewhere to grab something for breakfast. That somewhere was KFC of all places!! Once on the coach we set off on adventure number one! This was going to be a very tiring but great day!
My co-worker and I booked the trip through AdventureKorea which basically meant, other than remembering to get myself to the right place at the right time, I did not have to organise anything!! Take a look at the video below of what you can expect to see on this great day out.
